　　Locations: NYC Metro Area & Long Island

　　Duration: 12-24+ month contract

　　TOP SKILLS REQUIRED TO APPLY:

　　1) Must have 5+ years of experience working in a Hub/Headend/Central Office environment doing Core Network projects

　　2) Ability to test fiber, rack/stack, and install telecom network devices

　　3) Prior experience with Optical devices - i.e. Ciena, Adtran, Lucent, Cisco, Juniper

　　4) Must have ability to learn how to configure network devices, will be provided with the network configs, will need to input to device

　　Job Description:

　　TEKsystems is looking to bring on ISP technicians to support the network engineering team for a wide range on going and upcoming projects and backlog of tasks related to hub migration, new device installation and seeding network initiatives. These techs will report direct the Director Networking Engineering and his designees, to support these different initiatives. The resources will need to have experience working in a Hub/Headend environment working with core network devices, network integrity is critical for this group as service can not be interrupted, this install will migrate customers over from one device to another. The primary responsibility will be of a physical Layer 1 nature, testing fiber, physical installation of network equipment are critical skills.

　　The right candidate will have to be flexible, each day can be different when it comes to work assigned each day and can be in a different location. It is important to be open-minded.
