GENERAL PURPOSE
Provides technical assistance and support to District employees, ensuring the efficient operation and functionality of District IT systems and infrastructure in resolving hardware and software issues, troubleshooting network problems, and providing exceptional customer service to our end-users.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, hardware, and software applications, ensuring optimal performance and security.Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement efficient IT solutions, systems, and procedures to meet the organization's needs.Respond to IT support tickets, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously, maintaining accurate documentation of actions taken.Assist with the deployment, maintenance, and management of IT assets, including desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and peripherals.Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including wired and wireless networks, VPN, and remote access.Educate and guide end-users on the proper use of IT systems, software applications, and security best practices.Conduct regular system audits and implement necessary security updates, patches, and backups to protect against vulnerabilities and data loss.Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure smooth operation of IT infrastructure and resolve any related issues.Stay up to date with the latest technology trends, software applications, and industry best practices, providing recommendations for improvement.· Design, plan, and implement complex network and system infrastructure to meet the organization's technical requirements.
· Configure and manage servers, including operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and backup solutions.
· Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
· Conduct regular system and network maintenance including patch management, upgrades, and capacity planning.
· Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
· Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues related to servers, storage, networking, and security infrastructure.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and recommend new technologies, hardware, and software solutions.
· Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
· Provide mentoring and technical guidance to IT Support Specialist and assist with their professional development.
· Participate in incident response and disaster recovery activities, ensuring business continuity in the event of system failures or cyber security incidents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
a) Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.

At least two years of job-related project management experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Proven work experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and hardware.
· Solid knowledge of computer operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
· Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, networks, and software applications.
· Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and other server-based systems.
· Experience with troubl shooting network connectivity issues, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
· Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
