Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Camp Humphreys, South Korea . Responsibilities Serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist in the Networks Management Branch (NMB), DoDIN (Department of Defense Information Network) Operations Division, Regional Cyber Center-Army Korea (RCC-K). Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and management of the DoDIN-Army (DoDIN-A) Non Secure and Secure Wide Area Networks (WAN). Administer and manage the operations of a multitude of network appliances/systems such as Firewall, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Authentication Control Systems and backbone routers/switches. Monitor the networks for network health and network configuration management. Oversee the continuous monitoring t of intra-theater bandwidth, Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET) and Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) connections and troubleshooting of Theater Network related problems. Coordinate with Area Network Enterprise Centers (NECs) and users about downtime, network troubleshooting and communication problems (e-mail, web sites, etc.). Attend routine and regular Compartmented Information (SCI) Video Teleconferences (VTCs), meetings and working groups, which require access to Top Secret Sensitive, SCI materials, equipment, programs, facilities, and systems.
