Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:Design, implement, install, maintain, and monitor a customers network. This could include any combination of: firewall, router, managed switches (VLANS), Wi-Fi, printers, scanners, servers, email, web-site, mobile devices (apps), PCs, laptops, anti-virus protection, data backup and recovery.Fully configure and support customer firewall (managed firewall). Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.Fully configure and support customers Wi-Fi network.Fully design and configure local area network and devices (switches, printers, PCs, etc.). Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network.Ensure that computer hardware, software and network infrastructure related to an organizations data network are effectively maintained. Maintain site and/or server licenses for organizations where applicable.Implementing premise and cloud-based Backup and Disaster Recovery Services.Administer and support customer email services. Assist customer to measure, plan and execute methodologies to ensure high performance levels and minimum downtime.Assist customer in checking for security breaches and poor data management practices. Assist customer with risk assessment with recommendations for compliance with items such as: PCI, HIPAA, FIPS, FINRA, SOX, GLBA and CJIS.Creates and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, studying utilization of computer and software technologies, and implementing changes as necessary.Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of servers, personal computers/laptops, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software. Perform and/or oversee software and application development, installation, and upgrades. Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and securityOther duties as assigned
