Reporting to the IT Director, the IT Project Manager's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Business Analysis, IT Quality Assurance, and Helpdesk teams in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The IT Project Manager will work closely with the IT Director, IT Tech Lead, and with PRI™ program divisions to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support technology solutions for information technology initiatives based upon the user-defined business requirements. Additionally, the IT Project Manager will ensure that the IT team provides a high quality customer service experience to all areas of the organization utilizing IT services.
Responsibilities:
Understand and represent PRI™'s mission, vision, and values to all internal and external customersInteract with government and private sector clients, partners, and PRI™ staff in a professional and accountable manner, and as a representative of PRI™Manage IT business analysis, IT Quality Assurance, and helpdesk staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actionsOversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support servicesManage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems maintained by PRI™Interact with project team members in order to successfully fulfill contract obligations with the highest quality and in a timely manner meeting PRI™'s ISO requirementsInstills integrity throughout the organization via active participation in ISO requirements including but not limited to timely submission of Corrective Action Plans for all matters in which either PRI™ standards and/or corporate contract standards have not been met. Communicating outcomes to team members to ensure a positive, open, environment which mitigates risk and achieves a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement.Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipmentWork with IT Director and management to create, refine, and enforce a structured process for the design, development, testing, and deployment of all corporate systemsAssist with development of IT protocols in accordance with CMMI standardsBenchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systemsDevelop and implement IT policies and procedures for business analysis, IT Quality Assurance, and helpdesk functionsIdentify and assist in the development of training requirements for the delivery of IT system projectsCoordinate and complete projects within the information technology division. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other divisions and subcontractors involved in the projectsMust be able to manage multiple projects and maintain ongoing communication with relevant project stakeholdersDevelop detailed project plans for IT initiatives including project management plan, risk management plan, configuration management plan, communication plan, training plan, and others as required by the project typeSupport program initiatives, including identifying and analyzing preliminary business needs, budget considerations, time and resource estimates, defining the project scope and objectives, and obtaining business user sign-offReport project progress on a routine basis to PRI™ management - provide budget analysis and advise management of areas of concern, give recommendations for improvement of such areas, and implement such changes as necessary to ensure delivery of services on-time and within budgetDevelop and prepare agendas, presentations and facilitate meetings for project-based work as required y contracts and PRI™ executive managementEstablish and maintain regular communications with the organization's executives, division directors, and end users regarding pertinent IT activitiesParticipate in Change Control Board to provide feedback on project level of effort and impact to assist in planning and prioritization of projectsWork with IT Director and management to implement and enforce CMMI processes for the design, development, testing, and deployment of all IT systemsContinue professional development through attendance at meetings, professional seminars and conferencesPerform other duties as requestedRequirements:
Bachelor's Degree and five years of experience in IT project management with primary focus in software development lifecycle projects, Master's preferred
Proficient in Office, Excel, Visio, Power Point, MS Project, etc
Working knowledge of Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI-DEV) preferable
Experience with Team Foundation Server preferable
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle process
Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment
Highly flexible and adaptable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to react to, plan, and manage high priority assignments, and interface with a variety of users
Effective customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Experience with 508 Compliance preferred
