　　The Information Security (INFOSEC) Engineer (Intermediate) is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s digital assets by designing and implementing security solutions. Works closely with other IT professionals to identify, analyze, and evaluate potential security threats and develop strategies to mitigate them. The role requires a strong understanding of computer networks, programming, and security protocols. The candidate will use their technical expertise to identify potential vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications, and then develop and implement security measures to protect against cyber threats. This includes designing and configuring firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and encryption technologies, as well as conducting security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Analyzes and resolves INFOSEC technical problems. Configures testbeds and conducts testing, records and analyzes results, and provides recommendations for improvements for the products/systems under test. Areas of focus include Guard, Firewall, Secure Network Server, computer and network security solutions, "Smart Cards", and emerging technologies and future trends. Supports the integration of INFOSEC solutions and technologies into networks with particular attention to protocols.

　　Required Qualifications:

　　BA/BA from an accredited college or university in electrical, electronic or computing engineering; computer science or other related field.

　　5 years specialized experience including system security analysis and implementation; design assurance or testing for INFOSEC products and systems; integration or testing for INFOSEC products and systems is required. 1 academic year at an accredited college or university in an accredited preferred degree related post-secondary program for 1 year of experience.

　　Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.

　　Preferred Qualifications :

　　Experience in heterogeneous computer networking technology and work in protocol and/or interface standards specification

　　General experience in system engineering; electrical design, software engineering; program design and implementation; configuration management; or maintenance.
