This position has no budgetary responsibility, but decisions may have a minor impact, has limited supervisor over its work, and requires analysis in order to perform its job functions.The Indirect Underwriter is responsible for performing credit analyses on loan applications, assessing risks, rendering decisions, promoting products and services, providing customer service, and assisting in special testing and audit projects. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring compliance within internal policies and regulatory standards, identifying loan restructuring opportunities for members, cross-selling, testing system updates, assisting in auditing preparations, and mentoring new or junior lending associates.EDUCATION :* Ge eral and business knowledge equivalent to a high school diplomaCERTIFICATIONS:* Required to register and maintain a unique identifier with the Nationwide MortgageLicensing System and Registry (NMLS) in compliance with the Secure and FairEnforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 ("SAFE Act"). This must be renewedon an annual basis from November 1 to December 31.
