  At Securian Financial the internal title for this position is Business Operations Consultant. Overview: Securian Financial Group has an exciting opportunity in our Employee Benefit Solutions (EBS) division on our client onboarding/implementation team! We are looking for an energetic, analytical, and creative thinker who enjoys and has experience in project management and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Implementation Consultant is responsible for transitioning complex new clients to Securian Financial for all Group Insurance products. This includes serving as the main point of contact to our clients and channel partners, during implementation, facilitating meetings, managing project plans, and working with the internal teams to provide the right solutions to our clients. Additionally, a portion of the role will require the ability to train and consult with internal team members, this would include creating & updating internal training materials for knowledge management. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Confirm the details of the sale with the proposal representative, sales representative and the client and provide information to the affected areas within EBS, Enterprise Technology (ET), and Securian Business Services (SBS) to ensure the setup and maintenance of the account is completed successfully and meets the client's expectations. For each separate implementation project, the Implementation Account Manager works closely with the assigned Account Management team and various internal business partners to ensure a smooth transition at the end of the project. Attend finalist meetings and facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with the client, channel partner, TPAs, and our internal subject matter experts. Provide consultative solutions and ensure our administrative processes and system(s) are established correctly to include plan design details which may impact billing, eligibility, data exchange, medical underwriting, record keeping, claims, contracts, financial reporting, etc. Develop, communicate, maintain, and manage the detailed project plans and timeline for account implementation projects and ensure deadlines, milestones and success criteria are exceeded through timely coordination and communication of the details necessary to complete the implementation project by the agreed upon enrollment and/or effective date. Identify and manage timely and effective resolution of any issues which surface during the handling of all assigned duties. Track and report implementation activity results in a "real time" fashion via customer facing action items, meeting summaries and our internal implementation tools. Maintain business awareness of all products (i.e., Life/AD&D, Critical Illness, Voluntary Accident, Hospital Indemnity, etc.), processes and system capabilities to enable effective communication of service capabilities. Support the organization through participation in department, operational and strategic initiatives as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the Group Insurance industry. Knowledge of Group Insurance products. 3+ years of client-facing responsibilities demonstrating a strong customer focus. Demonstrated experience managing and balancing competing priorities. Ability to consult and collaborate cross-functionally with other departments. Proactive problem-solving ability with solutions-oriented attitude. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and capable of interacting with all levels of associates. Support with training and consultations for internal team members. Creation of training materials and SOP guidelines. Ability to handle increasingly high volume of work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment in a calm manner. Ability to work independently and make decisions while considering client requirements and focusing on efficiency and cost effectiveness. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project). Pre erred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. We are considering both virtual and hybrid candidates for this opening. If you live in a commutable distance (90 minutes) of the Securian Home Office, you'll join us 2-3 days each week in our offices to collaborate and build relationships. Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules. When working in our offices at least two days per week isn't feasible (vacations, illness, travel, etc.), an eight day per month standard is an option. Physical Job Requirements: Ability to work at least 40 hours per week. Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse, computer, tablet and phone for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to meet the physical demands of travel - sometimes requiring as much as 15-20% of your time. This includes the ability to operate a motor vehicle as well as an ability to utilize air travel.
