As an I-9 Coordinator, you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:

Utilize E-Verify as required by law to verify employment eligibility for newly hired employees.

Ensure that new employees complete Section 1 of Form I-9 on or before their first day of work.

Complete Section 2 of Form I-9 by reviewing the employee’s documents to verify their identity and employment authorization within three business days of the employee’s start date.

Manage updates to existing I-9 forms for active employees undergoing name changes due to marriage, divorce, or legal reasons.

Manage the verification and completion of updated Form I-9 for rehired employees as per federal regulations and E-Verify requirements.

Verify that the documents presented by the employee are original, unexpired, and appear to be genuine and related to the employee.

Ensure that forms are retained for the required period (three years after the date of hire or one year after the date employment ends, whichever is later).

Conduct regular audits of Form I-9 and E-Verify records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Performs other duties/projects as assigned.

What is Required?

High School Diploma/GED is required.

1+ year of Human Resources experience is preferred

Experience using Electronic I-9 Verification Systems or HRIS platforms preferred

Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred

You will report to the Shared Services Supervisor.
