We are seeking an *HVAC Service Technician for on-the-training *to join our HB Home Service Team in Harleysville!
The HVAC Service Technician works primarily in a residential setting. Our technicians work primarily in existing buildings doing maintenance, installation, service, repair, replacement, and fit-out work. They work with, and oversee work with numerous system parts and mechanisms. They work with Customers, Dispatchers, Interoffice personnel, Management, and other Technicians to build a high level of teamwork and morale. This is a critical role that requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, maintain, service, and/or repair HVAC Systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and other related equipmentInspect and assess HVAC systems for performance issues, identifying problems and providing recommendations for repairs or replacementsAct as a trusted advisor to recommend appropriate upgrades.Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, using specialized tools and equipmentPerform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, and checking refrigerant levelsInstall and repair ductwork, as needed, to ensure proper airflow and ventilationTest HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficientlyProvide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and explaining repairs or maintenance recommendations to customersKeep accurate records of work performed, including time spent, materials used, and any issues encounteredFollow safety procedures and guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environmentPerform work within OSHA guidelines.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices through ongoing training and professional developmentPromote and follow building, job site and department procedures and policiesAbide by the Home Service Team guidelines as set forth in the Company HandbookMaintain clean organized and mechanically sound company provided service vehicleObey Department Uniform and Appearance PolicyComply with NFPA 70E regulationsOperate a company vehicle to run service or installation jobs for customer needsOther duties as assignedMINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
High school diploma, completion of G.E.D.Operating knowledge of HVAC systemEquivalent technical school or work experienceFive or more years of experience in related tradeValid Driver's License with a clean driving record is requiredEPA Certification preferred but not necessary.Must demonstrate proficiency in area of all certificationsBENEFITS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
