  Summary About the Position: Position monitors authorizations, distribution, strengths, professional development, and assignments worldwide. Position is located at Human Resources Command (HRC), Officer Personnel Management Directorate (OPMD), at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Responsibilities Ensure that all procedural and administrative tasks are performed for the timely and correct completion of actions, individually or by other staff members. Monitor authorizations, distribution, strengths, professional development, and assignments for officers and/or warrant officers. Review distribution plan to ensure compliance. Review weekly assignment requirements to ensure proper distribution of personnel by tracking all open and closed requisitions. Utilize personnel management systems such as TOPMIS, SMS, ATRRS, iPERMS, or other related Human Resource programs. Prepare statistical data to form management level briefings which details policies and procedures. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience Required: To qualify based on your work experience, the resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience performing- clerical and technical work supporting one or more military personnel programs, operations, or functions, specifically the assignment and professional development of officers. Please be clear and specific when describing your experience. We are unable to make any assumptions on your experience. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-07). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience to qualify. For this position at the GS-09 grade level you must possess: A Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in Human Resources Management. . If you are relying on your education to meet qualification requirements: Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provided only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. (Http://www.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/). Only degrees from accredited colleges or universities recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a(n) Human Resources Management, Career Field 50 position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
