About Human Resources Manager

HR Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement human resources plans and procedures for all employees.

Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews.

Maintain HR records, reports, and logs to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HR professionals, ensuring optimal resource allocation and staffing levels.

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR goals, objectives, and systems, recommending necessary adjustments.

Propose and implement new policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations.

Partner with line managers to forecast and plan talent needs in alignment with business strategy.

Support business leaders in identifying and fostering organizational capabilities, structures, and processes to meet both current and future performance needs.

Develop and implement feedback mechanisms for employees to continuously improve HR services and processes.

Provide HR coaching and advice to employees and managers as needed.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.

Employee Relations and Compliance:

Address employee grievances, mediate conflicts, and manage disciplinary processes, including terminations.

Ensure company policies comply with labor laws and employment regulations.

Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with legal requirements.

Training and Development:

Assess employee training needs and design or coordinate relevant development programs.

Promote leadership development and opportunities for employee career growth.

Oversee the learning management system (LMS) to ensure effective training delivery.

Compensation and Benefits:

Collaborate in the development and administration of salary structures, bonuses, and benefits packages.

Stay informed about market trends to ensure compensation offerings are competitive.

Support payroll administration by addressing discrepancies, reporting bonuses, and assisting with benefits administration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist role with a focus on management.

Experience working with companies that have 100+ employees.

Proficient in HRIS systems (experience with Dayforce preferred, but open to other platforms).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Demonstrated experience in recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

Knowledge of benefits administration and managing leave of absences.

HR certifications (SHRM, PHR, SPHR) are a plus.

Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.

Ability to work effectively with hourly employees and diverse teams.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $112000.00 - $124000.00

Eligibility:

This is a fully onsite position in Santa Fe Springs,CA.
