Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in the Non-Profit industry, located in Newton, Massachusetts. As an HR Manager, your main role will be to oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes, partner with the Grant Program Director, and manage the HR Generalist/Assistant.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the full recruitment process including interviewing and screening potential candidates
• Coordinate with the HR Generalist/Assistant on various HR tasks
• Actively engage in business partnering with the Grant Program Director
• Oversee and make improvements to the current orientation setup at HEI
• Manage the onboarding process for new hires
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Maintain precise customer credit records
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed
• Conduct CORI checks in collaboration with the HR Generalist/Assistant
• Liaise with Paychex/benefits provider to ensure smooth HR operations. Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Human Resources Manager, HR Officer, or similar role in the non-profit sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of Human Resources (HR) administration, including benefits and compensation, hiring processes, and employee relations.
• Proficiency in managing recruitment processes, from sourcing and interviewing candidates to onboarding new hires.
• Strong knowledge of labor legislation and its application in a non-profit environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail oriented certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Exhibits a strong commitment to the values and mission of the non-profit sector.
