  Job Summary and Qualifications

  The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative and compliance tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.

  Position Responsibilities

  Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.

  Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

  Provides administrative support to the HR department.

  Assists with new hire orientation.

  Inputs data information into multiple state portals for employee requirements.

  Inputs data into the HRIS system.

  Assists with adding faculty to the nursing license site and tracking license renewals.

  Conducts audits of personnel files, term files, I-9’s and EEOC forms

  Assists with filing.

  Collects employee paperwork – job descriptions, PARS, etc

  Tracks completion of background checks.

  Assists with employee recognition events and similar programs.

  All other duties as assigned

  Position Requirements

  Education : Associate degree preferred, will accept work experience in lieu of degree.

  Experience : Minimum of one year of Human Resources experience preferred and at least two years of administrative experience is required.

  Special Qualifications :

  Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareProficient with or the ability to learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment : Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 1bs at times.
