About Human Resource Business Partner

  The HR Generalist is responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise by providing a wide range of HR support and advice. This includes, but not limited to, guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management.

  General Responsibilities

  Supports employees on issues, including but not limited to; benefits, payroll, and general policy and procedures

  Collaborate with departmental managers to assess employment needs, and participate in recruiting efforts to identify, interview, hire and train qualified candidates

  Organize and update organization charts, employee files, employee information and locate/distribute any documents as needed

  Key participant in developing department goals, objectives and systems

  Knowledgeable in employment, state, federal and local regulations

  Experience / Qualifications

  A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

  Coach, lead and mentor team members to meet BU objectives

  Evaluate current team members and identify areas of training improvement and talent needs.

  Manage Employee Relations issues including ethics/compliance investigations when necessary

  Facilitate and support Succession Planning to ensure a strong talent pipeline that meets long term business objectives.

  Support Town Halls and leadership team meetings as necessary to foster ample two way communication.
