  HSE Specialist

  ATS Scientific Productsis looking for a HSE Specialist that can successfully build safety programs for our Warminster, PA facility. This person must be able to demonstrate working through the site leadership team to drive improvements.

  RESPONSIBILITIES:Establish and support regional HSE programsServe as core member of Site Leadership TeamsSupport Field Service group in managing training and injuriesManage all HSE Events, Near Misses, and Hazard Identifications in VelocityFacilitate/assist in HSE Event Investigations & Root Cause AnalysisCoordinate successful completion of internal audit action itemsIdentify, evaluate, and assist in correcting workplace hazardsManage PPE program for each facilityFacilitate productive JHSC meetings, engaging the team in safety processesProvide guidance and assistance in risk assessments of work processesProvide instructor led-training to all necessary employeesDrive completion of annual HSE plan for facilityAssist in problem solving using ABM tools

  EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

  Proven success in multi-facility role dealing with multiple site leadership teams.Occasional offsite travelfor trainingExperience with managing incidents and conducting root cause analysis to determine proper corrective actionsExperience in a lean systems environment preferredExperience with Human & Organization Performance preferredMust be able to successfully navigate digital environment including Microsoft Office, Velocity EHS, Safety Culture, etc

  EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or Business, plus > 3 years of HSE experience working in a manufacturing environment.CSP, ASP, or other accreditation preferred but not required

  WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  The work environment characteristics described here are typical of those an employee might encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.Work is normally performed in both the office and the shop.The office environment is an interior office with air conditioning.The shop contains mobile equipment, machinery, and high voltages.The shop noise level is variable and may require hearing protection in some areas.The shop is heated when required but many areas are not air conditioned.Some shop processes use high voltage arcs or concentrated magnetic fields.The shop contains open flames and caustic chemicals.Some areas of the shop may be designated as hard hat zones.

  HSE:All employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health, safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner.Employee responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental proceduresRefrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methodsReport any unsafe conditions or unsafe actsReport defect in any equipment or protective deviceEnsure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasksAttend all required health, safety and environmental trainingReport any accidents/incidents to supervisorAssist in investigating accidents/incidentsRefrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct#spjobs2Why Scientific Products?The three parallelograms in our logo reflect our core company values: People, Process, andPerformance.
