About the role

As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization.

What you’ll do

Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry best practices.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and regulatory compliance issues.

Provide guidance and support to operations, engineering, and project teams on HSE-related matters.

Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis for incidents, near misses, and environmental incidents; develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Coordinate employee training programs on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and environmental compliance.

Manage and maintain records related to environmental permits, inspections, and reporting requirements (e.g., EPCRA, hazardous waste, SPCC, SWPP).

Stay current with regulations and industry trends; update policies and practices accordingly.

Collaborate with regulatory agencies, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with HSE standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety, reduce environmental impact, and optimize performance metrics.

Prepare and present HSE reports and performance metrics to senior management.

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Additional certifications as required by the local authority.

In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards.

Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Experience with ISO 14001 or 45001 management systems

Proficiency in EHS management software.

Ability to travel up to 50%

Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the HSE Manager position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the HSE Manager position is $110,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
