JOB SUMMARY
* *Kutak Rock seeks a HRIS Specialist to join the firm's Human Resources Department. The HRIS Specialist is responsible for application support and maintaining, supporting, and optimizing HR platforms that involve onboarding, payroll, time management, employee recognition, performance evaluations, and applicant tracking. This position reports to the Director of Benefits and Administration and will work closely with other members of the HR team.
This is a full-time position that offers a hybrid work option in one of the following firm offices: Atlanta, Denver, Fayetteville, Irvine, Little Rock, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Omaha, Philadelphia, Richmond, Rogers, Scottsdale, Spokane, Springfield, Tallahassee, or Washington DC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as subject matter expert on HR platforms delivering user training, report writing, analyzing data flows, and answering system related questions
- Process employment related changes
- Communicate onboarding requirements with new hires
- Oversee firmwide preboarding and onboarding procedures
- Assist with employment verifications and background checks
- Create employee related spreadsheets; analyze and interpret data to ensure accuracy
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource information
- Identify and recommend improvements, customizations, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of various HRIS systems
- Develop and implement strategies to address problem areas with human resources technology
- Assist with planning and execution of special projects
- Review timesheets for accuracy, firm requirements, and standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Skills & Abilities

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with expert Excel skills
- Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, HRIS, and similar computer applications

QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Prior experience with an HRIS, applicant tracking, or similar systems
