SUMMARY
In coordination with the HRIS Architect, the Human Resources InformationSystems (HRIS) Business Analyst reviews, analyzes, and evaluatesfunctional requirements and advises on possible solutions. The analystwill lead requirements-gathering sessions, translate businessrequirements into technical system specifications, and serves as theliaison between Human Resources client stakeholders and the technicalproject team. In addition, the Business Analyst, in coordination withthe HRIS Architect, assists in managing certain software changes andprovides guidance to organizational leadership related to best practicesand optimization of the HRIS system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Otherduties may be assigned.
Creates comprehensive requirements documents outlining the desiredfunctional state.
Provides analysis and documentation while considering the systemimplications of the change requested to the current and future businessenvironment.
Reviews and assesses functional problems. In coordination with the HRISArchitect proposes technical solutions.
Provides recommendations on the development and implementation ofstrategies to manage and reduce program/project risks.
Effectively communicates detailed requirements specifications, bothverbally and in writing, to all project team members, clientstakeholders, and senior management.
Formulates and defines project scope and objectives through research andfact-finding combined with an understanding of the applicable businesssystem and industry best practices.
Develops user manuals, training, and promotional materials as needed.
Performs quality assurance reviews of existing architecturedocumentation.
Performs analysis, development, and testing to meet functional reportingrequests.
Performs analysis of business and user needs, documentation ofrequirements, and translation into proper system requirementspecifications.
Completes user interface documentation, including screenshots,walkthroughs, workflows, uniformly structured use cases andsupplementary specifications.
Demonstrates flexibility to support emerging program needs andpriorities.
Serves as lead analyst on issues when directed.
Leads and participates in design and planning meetings.
Utilizes tool specific expertise to recommend solutions to solvebusiness issues.
Provides initial troubleshooting of incidents reported by functionalusers and escalates appropriately.
Acts as a resource in the interpretation and use of data generated andutilized by users.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, jobdescription and supervisor\'s instruction in such a way as to maximizepersonal output.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available andreceptive to all training made available by the company.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderlycondition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report anyunsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor andhuman resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as thebest of own ability.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor\'s degree and a minimum of five (5) years\' relevantexperience, or equivalent combination of education / experience.
