Job Summary:
Raftelis is searching for an intern to join our Human Resources Team in our Corporate Functions Practice. This paid internship includes up to 20 hours per week this spring semester. We are flexible with the time/day and number of hours depending on the intern's schedule. This internship is a temporary position and will conclude at the end of the spring semester.
Working within a team, the intern will assist HR staff with the day-to-day departmental operations. This is an ideal position for a student who is interested in human resources, business, and recruiting and who is intellectually curious.
This position is based in Raftelis' Charlotte office. A parking pass is provided at no cost to the intern. This is not a remote position. The rate of pay is $20-25 per hour depending on experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
Assist with the transition to our new performance management platform, Lattice. Including the upload of historical goal forms, appraisals, etc.
Draft monthly highlights about Lattice, our benefits, training courses, etc. for our internal newsletter
Research and compile a list of local colleges and universities to aid outreach efforts
Assist with recruiting efforts, including applicant review, phone screening, and the onboarding process
Support the onboarding process for new hires by preparing materials, coordinating orientation sessions, and assisting with paperwork
Draft information to be used in recruitment materials, such as job descriptions
Maintain effective, professional attributes while dealing with colleagues
Requirements:
Pursuing a bachelor's degree (business, human resources, psychology, or other related fields)
Ability to research and organize data obtained from websites, phone calls, and web-based meetings
Excellent writing skills
Intellectual curiosity and the willingness to learn
Diligent, team-player attitude
Ability to work independently on specific assignments once direction is provided
Experience using MS Office applications of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
