Each year more than 6,000 students take advantage of Learning Commons Programs to build confidence, integrate on campus, and master challenging course content.Job OverviewThe HR Coordinator will serve in a centralized role at the Learning Commons reporting directly to the Director for the Learning Commons. This position oversees the human resources functions for our Learning Commons student employees, including the application process, recruitment, hiring, centralized training, payroll, and personnel changes. This position will have the option to work in a hybrid environment- both in the office and remotely.Essential FunctionsOversees human resources management of 400 Learning Commons student employees, including the application process, recruitment, hiring, centralized training, and personnel changes.Coordinate timekeeping and payroll processing for organizational unitHire and supervise HR Graduate Assistant, a 10-hour/week GA positionAct as Personnel Change Request (PCR) initiator for organizational unit. Analyze various HR data for quality improvement recommendations.Central point person for Learning Commons compliance trainings to ensure compliance with federal, state, and University regulations.Perform related duties based on departmental need.
