Housing Search Worker (Bilingual) Interested in joining our team ofdedicated professionals? Way Finders is currently seeking a full-timebilingual (English/Spanish) Housing Search Worker. The Housing SearchWorker supports homeless families with rehousing efforts to quickly exitshelter, continually reviewing needs and goals with efficiency andempathy. The candidate will work fully onsite at our Holyoke office.Responsibilities include: Optimize the quantity and quality of housingthrough strength-based client assessments that address needs andbarriers, in-depth research on housing eligibility/opportunity; and thedevelopment and maintenance of strong connections to the public/privatelandlord community Triage with Housing Case Managers and SystemNavigators to provide suitable housing alongside supports and resources;ensure monthly rehousing plans are completed Support, assist, andadvocate for clients throughout rehousing process: fill outapplications, schedule/attend showings, inform and update on tenantselection process, apply and appeal for reasonable accommodations, etc.Assist and train clients on budgeting, effective problem-solving, andoptions planning; assess with foresight and help to resolve evictionactions, utility arrears, or other adverse factors impacting housingEducate clients about tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities,rental assistance programs, homebuyer readiness information, andavailable community resources; remain current on new and modifiedhousing assistance programs, services, and related regulations to ensurethe accurate provision of guidance to clients Maintain complete,accurate, and timely case notes in database/systems; ensure timely andeffective case communication across appropriate internal departments todeliver high-quality service Conduct regular unit walkthroughs toidentify tenancy preservation concerns as well as potential safetyissues; submit work orders for issues as needed Collaborate with HousingCase Manager to track progress towards rehousing, submit incident andnon-compliance reports; assist and confirm that Americans withDisabilities Act (ADA) accommodations are submitted to the appropriateCoordinator Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationshipswith internal staff (including across departments), owners, landlords,community groups, constituents, and stakeholders Proactively identifyand inform leadership of any significant issues that may adverselyaffect the organization Conduct in-person meetings at homes and inoffice locations On-call duties as necessary Requirements include: 2years\' equivalent experience in housing, social services, or relatedrole; a combination of experience plus a high school diploma (orequivalent) may be a substitute Preference for experience withconducting housing searches Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills requiredDemonstrated ability with Microsoft Office, and comfort learning newtechnologies Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communicationskills across all levels of an organization and with constituents andstakeholders, with the ability to work with diverse populations Abilityto work both independently and as a member of a team Excellentorganizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention todetail, plus the ability to reprioritize Valid driver\'s license andacceptable driving record; reliable vehicle CORI/SORI Wage startsbetween \$17.50 and \$19.87 per hour depending on qualifications.Interested applicants must submit a cover letter and resume;applications will be accepted until the pos
