PositionSummary: The housekeeper maintains sanitation of the facility for thehealth, comfort and safety of residents, staff and visitors. EssentialDuties and Responsibilities: The list of duties and responsibilities isnot all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties andresponsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.Following procedure, performs cleaning as scheduled in resident, staffand ancillary areas. Mopping: mop entire area insuring obstacles havebeen moved to clean complete surface. Dusting: all horizontal andvertical surfaces from the ceiling to the floor are dusted and/orpolished. Vacuuming: vacuum carpet, drapes, upholstery and ventsinsuring all necessary obstacles have been moved to clean and completesurface. Trash collection: collects and disposes of trash fromcontainers ranging from 7 quarts to 30 gallons. Restrooms: cleans anddisinfects all areas in the restroom, including but not limited tosinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, fixtures and bathtubs. Replenishsupplies: checks and replaces when depleted and/or according to policyhand soap, paper toweling, liners, linen, hygiene products. Equipmentmaintenance: maintains, replaces and stores all equipment. Reports tothe Director any malfunctions in equipment. Cart set up: responsible formaneuvering housekeeping carts, weighing up to 100 pounds throughout thefacility; maintains appropriate cleaning supplies on cart. Dischargecleaning: responsible for deep cleaning resident rooms/apartmentsinclusive of washing windows, baseboards, inside of drawers, cabinetsand closets. Assists in cleaning up emergency spills observed or uponrequest. Attends work as scheduled. Performs other tasks as assigned.Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Sufficienteducation to demonstrate spoke and written English.
