Job Summary:

　　Performs a wide variety of routine clerical duties in outpatient hospital/clinical settings where there is frequent contact with patients and their families (e.g., admissions; emergency room; billing; etc.) and/or perform more complex clerical activities which are complicated by a variety of procedures, and choices requiring independent decision making.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　New York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer.

　　Qualifications for provisional appointment are: You must be a qualified employee of the State University of New York and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1 or as a Nursing Station Clerk 1
