FTE: 0.600000 Shift: Shift 1 Every weekend: Saturday andSunday from 0700-1930. Job Summary: This position will enhance theefficient placement of patients to maximize census potential as well ascoordinate with physicians and nursing to place patients safely andappropriately by establishing placement priorities together. Thisindividual is a resource and liaison between all key stakeholders(Physicians, Nursing, Admitting) involved in patient placement.Communication with the Inpatient Nurse Managers and AdministrativeRepresentatives regarding the census and patient placement strategiesare essential. Collaborates with all operational staff to ensure safe,timely and efficient patient flow. This individual must be able to applyleadership principles and customer service standards in their dailypractice. They also must be able to employ problem solving anddecision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. Often must activelyparticipate in difficult or critical situations. Other duties asassigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 4 years of nursingexperience with at least 3 years is in acute care nursing is required.Previous critical care or ED experienced as a RN is preferred. EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: Bachelors in Nursing is required. In lieu of Bachelor\'sdegree, either an additional 3 years of experience or active enrollmentin a Bachelors program with a defined end date is required. SPECIALSKILLS DESCRIPTION: Has strong verbal communication skills and iscomfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Communicateseffectively in all areas of practice and to a variety of staff. Assesseshis/her own communication skills during encounters with patients,families, physicians and staff. From these assessments seeks continuousimprovement in communication and conflict resolution skills. LICENSUREDESCRIPTION: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered NurseLicense or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state inthe NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
