Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and friendly Admissions Representative to join our hospital team. The representative will be primarily responsible for welcoming patients, collecting and verifying necessary information, and performing various administrative duties that will ensure a smooth registration process. The working hours of the position are Friday - Monday 2 - 10:30 pm PST.

Responsibilities:

Welcome patients and visitors by greeting in person or over the telephone.

Obtain accurate and complete patient information for registration.

Verify insurance eligibility, coordinate approvals, process payments.

Provide information to patients regarding hospital policies and procedures.

Collaborate effectively with clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient transition into care.

Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information, following HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma; degree in healthcare administration, public relations, or relevant field is a plus.

Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare environment

Strong knowledge of insurance processes and medical terminology.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

High attention to detail when dealing with paperwork and administrative procedures.

Proficient with healthcare systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Willingness to work weekends and evening hours as required.
