Position DescriptionCold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking a talented and passionate Horticulturist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of plant care, landscape design, and a commitment to creating and maintaining thriving, aesthetically pleasing environments.

　　Position ResponsibilitiesTrims, transplants, and maintains shrubs, hedges, and trees.Plants and maintains planters and beds.Orders flowers and plantings for campus landscaping.Applies fertilizers, and herbicides under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor.Designs plantings for approval by the Grounds Manager.Performs other gardening and grounds maintenance tasks as directed by the Grounds Manager.Position RequirementsEDUCATION: (Degree Requirements)

　　High school graduate or equivalentDegree in Horticulture EXPERIENCE: (Amount of Experience Required to perform responsibilities)

　　2-5 years' working horticultural experience

　　OTHER:

　　Must be able to lift and carry 45 lbs.Must be able to follow detailed instructions and concentrate on routine tasks. Must have a solid working knowledge of plants, plant pests, and general horticulture.
