JOB DESCRIPTIONTITLE:HOME DELIVERED MEALS/VOLUNTEER COORDINATORHOURS:30 HOURS PER WEEK - NON-EXEMPT POSITIONSUPERVISOR:DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONSSALARY:$20.00SUMMARY STATEMENT OF POSITION:The Home Delivered Meals/Volunteer Coordinator will administer all aspects of home delivered meals services including logistics, volunteer services within the Agency, recruiting, interviewing, supervising, evaluation, training, and outreach. Oversight of existing programs and execution of new programs. Scheduling and monitoring the route assignments for home delivered meals. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision of the Logistics Coordinator. Recruit, interview, screen, train, and supervise (or assigns) volunteer staff and staff drivers. REGULAR TASKS:1.Communicates with all departments of the Agency to identify available opportunities and needs for volunteers. 2.Recruits volunteer staff to fit these roles using a variety of resources and techniques.3.Manage daily delivery schedules for Home Delivered Meals Program; sync ServTracker and Mobile Application on a daily basis. 4.Communicate with other departments including Social Work and Commissary to ensure successful operations. 5.Collaborate with Execution of meal delivery grants 6.Provide support and participate in agency-wide and onsite events.7.Track logistics and volunteer work/hours8.Hire and assign Staff Drivers to cover open routes. 9.Enter and verify time for logistics coordinator and staff drivers; complete annual performance reviews. 10.Regularly communicates with volunteers to ensure placement is a good fit for individual’s skills and goals.11.Maintains files, records, applications, and other data concerning volunteer program.12.Provide training, included use of App and quarterly refresher training.13.Work closely with the Food Service Director to instruct volunteers on food safety and the recording of temperatures as required.14.Community outreach activities for the purpose of recruiting volunteers including but not limited to schools, unions, churches, industry, social and civic organizations, for programs, and special events.15.Plan and organize events for volunteer recognition, including site selection, logistical arrangements, scheduling, purchasing or arranging for the purchase of supplies for the event.16.Back up to Logistics Coordinator.17.Other administrative tasks as assigned.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:•Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and encourage others.•Self-motivated, creative, and flexible•Solid organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through in an independent, responsible manner•Ability to perform tasks without direct and constant supervision•Excellent written and verbal communication, and computer skills•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google•Adept at public speaking. Able to address groups and organizations on behalf of the agency•Good physical condition. Able to lift hot and cold route carriersMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:•Valid driver’s license and personal automobile available at all times•Ability and willingness to drive in foul weather•Must be available to work a minimum of two holidaysPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:•Certificate in Volunteer Administration of Fund Raising or equivalent•Two years’ experience in establishing and maintaining a volunteer network and fundraising•Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field or 3 years working experience in related field.
