Extra pay, as on call positions do not include benefits(Note: we do have full time HistoTech available - let Recruiter know if you wish to be considered for the FT role.)Summary: The Histology Technologist is responsible for performing all routine procedures in orienting, sectioning, and staining tissue specimens to produce slides which will aide pathologists in diagnosis. and will work in team focus environment to achieve common goals and meet deadlines to provide quality care to clients and patients.Responsibilities:Embed, cut, and stain tissue blocks according to designated proceduresPerform advanced stainingPrepare reagents and stains according to designated proceduresSubmit derms and one-steppersMaintains knowledge of current CAP requirementsMaintains equipment, instruments, and supplies as neededPerform or assist with validation studiesAssists in operational oversightPerforms other related duties as assignedQualifications:Education/Certifications: HT or HTL ASCP certifiedTwo years of laboratory experienceKnowledge in medical terminologyOther career options:Incyte Diagnostics is an EOE, including disability/veteransIncyte Diagnostics is an EEO employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
