　　Job Summary

　　The Histology Technician performs standardized histotechnology procedures under the supervision of the Pathologists.

　　Education and/or Experience

　　Minimum of an associate degree from a regionally accredited college/university, with a combination of 12 semester hours of biology and chemistry is required.

　　With completion of an approved Histotechnician Certification Program within 12 months of employment.

　　Previous experience preferred, but not required.

　　Licensure/Certification/Registration

　　Certification as a Histology Technician (HT) from the American Society Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification is required or must be received within 16 months of employment.

　　Work Schedule

　　Day Shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks

　　No weeknds or holidays

　　Pay

　　The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

　　$22.00 - $31.75 per hour
