Job Description

As an Industrial Assembler, you will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, requalification, rework, and assembly operations on Traction Motor Combo components using both manual and automated equipment. You will inspect completed work to ensure compliance with internal quality and engineering requirements. This role emphasizes safety and lean manufacturing principles, including 5S and single-piece flow to meet required takt time. You may also need to perform special processes such as welding or non-destructive testing, which will require additional training or certification.

Responsibilities

Disassemble, clean, requalify, rework, and assemble Traction Motor Combo components.

Utilize manual and automated equipment following quality procedures.

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets internal inspection criteria and quality standards.

Perform work safely and support lean manufacturing principles such as 5S and single-piece flow.

Potentially perform special processes like welding or non-destructive testing with appropriate training or certification.

Essential Skills

Experience in assembly and mechanical assembly.

Understanding of schematics.

Experience in industrial assembly and heavy industry.

Ability to handle heavy labor and operate heavy equipment.

Experience or willingness to learn crane operation.

Work Environment

This position involves heavy assembly work, including disassembling train axles and wheels, diagnosing issues, and remanufacturing components. You will use crane assist within the first 30 days due to the job's physical demands. Work hours, shift information, and specific facility conditions will be discussed during the interview process. Dress code includes appropriate safety attire, such as steel toe boots and safety glasses, which are provided annually.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $47840.00
