  Job Description:

  Position: Heavy Equipment Mechanic—M1 Abrams

  Location: Fort Moore, GA

  Duration: 12 months (temporary role with ability to extend or be directly hired)

  Pay Rate: $23.28 per hour (H&W $4.41 for additional benefits)

  Start Date: as soon as possible or until Filled / Closed

  Abrams maintenance

  Experienced mechanic performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Abrams Tanks at Fort Moore

  Provide input to program planning, schedules, and maintenance techniques for the vehicles

  Identify technical problems and assist Field Service Representative in performing maintenance

  Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership responsible for maintenance

  Requirements:

  Must have one 1 or more years of maintenance experience on tracked vehicles, preferably on the Abrams Tanks

  Must be able to gain access to US Military facilities or bases; including a NACI clearance if required

  Ability to effectively communicate and interact with internal & external customers

  Must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented structure in field and shop environment, both on and off military installations

  Efficient knowledge of Microsoft Applications

  Must have overall understanding of customer contacts and relationships; Adhere to safety operations; Maintain accountability of assigned tools and property

  Required to work at heights, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, able to climb, and work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions

  must meet the anthropometric requirements ASR to entry into the driver compartment

  gain access to U.S. Military facilities (possible Military Clearance)

  valid State Driver s License

  standard employment background screening

  Must be able to travel as required to support GDLS Fort Moore maintenance, fielding and retrofit activities for both State-side and International GDLS requirements

  legally permitted to work in the U.S.; U.S. Citizen

  high school diploma (or GED)
