Join us.ATI is currently looking for a Heat Treat Operator within ourmanufacturing facility in Cudahy, WI. As a Heat Treat Operator, you willbe an integral part of a successful team that is responsible forproducing machined in military, aerospace, oil/gas and otherapplications. In this role, you will be responsible for performing therequired heating and cooling operations necessary to impact physicalproperties in forgings to conform to our customer specifications andmeet product performance goals and objectives. This is a third shiftposition from 11:00pm - 7:00am. Your work week will start at 11pm Mondayand wrap up at 7am Saturday. Essential Functions: Prepares furnace loadsin accordance with detailed furnace load map Prepares and assembles loadthermocouple Loads forgings into heat treat furnace and removes fromfurnace after required heating using a combination of manipulators andforklifts Moves completed furnace load to appropriate cooling stationSets furnace temperature controls to suit type of material and process.Monitors furnace operation and performance as required Processesforgings through quench and cool operations Works from specifications,chart, detailed work instructions, etc. Generates/updates requiredreports to document process parameters Operates Brinell/Rockwellhardness testing equipment determining the hardness of forgings afterheat treatment Creates move tickets after heat treatment processing iscomplete Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred: Experience with AMS 2750 pyrometry standard Experience withhardness testing Skills Knowledge of heat treating practices andprocedures Knowledge/use of industrial heavy equipment Familiar withindustrial furnaces and components Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills Exceptional interpersonal skills Strong analyticalskills to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively andimplement long term solutions Excellent organizational skills with theability to multi-task Keen attention to detail Ability to followdetailed instructions We thrive when the expectations are great, and thebarriers are high.
