As the Public Sector Healthcare Sales & Business Development Manager within Amazon Web Services (AWS) focusing on the Korea healthcare industry such as academic hospital, clinical research institution, health tech and bio informatics companies. You will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of Amazon’s utility computing web services and platform within the sectors' communities. Your responsibilities will include delivering sales revenue at dedicated accounts with healthcare team and helping to define key healthcare sales strategy, driving the necessary business and technical relationships with customers and partners to establish new business in the market, and supporting and enabling the sales team drive the day-to-day interactions with prospects in order to build long-term business opportunity. You’ll also work closely with the partner and solution architect teams to help them evolve the increasing revenue and address issues, concerns, and requests from the customers.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the high-level health providers and researchers. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must.
Key job responsibilities
• Serve as a key member of the sales team in helping to drive Korea AWS Healthcare, academic hospitals and research institutions, health tech and bio informatics (Genomics) markets and technical strategy.
• Growing and deliver revenue at the healthcare segments (academic hospitals, clinical research institutions, health tech and bio-Informatics), and the verticals healthcare team target.
• Set a strategic business development plan for dedicated accounts and target markets and ensure it's in line with the AWS strategic direction.
• Execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g., sales teams, partner teams, solution architect teams, legal, support).
• Identify specific prospects/partners to approach while communicating the specific value proposition for their business and use case.
• Fill the business development pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
• Understand and exploit the use of salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems.
• Develop long-term strategic partnerships in support of our key markets.
• Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the cloud computing market
• Experienced with account management (healthcare - academic hospitals, research institutions, health tech, bio informatic companies) and consulting with solution selling ability.
• Relevant technical knowledge is helpful, such as: PACS(Picture Archive and Communicate Systems), EMR(Electronic Medical Record), database systems, core distributed computing concepts, fundamentals of cloud computing and virtualization, storage systems with ability to go deep enough on technical aspects to differentiate between varied data storage services.

Basic Qualifications
• Excellent communication and writing skills, and be both technical and analytical and possess 7+ years of business development, partner development or sales account management experience in healthcare, clinical research market segments.
• Self-motivated with a great sense of urgency and follow-through.
• Must have a good understanding of government procurement and education contract vehicles.
• Excellent communicator who can quickly earn the respect of the team and customers.
• Must have the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
• Acts in accordance with vision, mission, and established goals.
• The right person will be technical and analytical, and possess several years of business development enterprise sales, or program/product management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within the PACS, EMR, Healthcare solutions, Health care IT, Clinical Research, Health Tech Bio-Informatics and Genomics is highly desired.
• Experience in serving the education sector/public sector would be advantageous.
• MBA, Computer Science, and/or Engineering background.
• Working knowledge of software development practices and data center / infrastructure / networking technologies / Healthcare IT solutions (PACS, EMR, LIS)
