Job Summary:

　　Responsibilities:

　　We're seeking a Head Lifeguard to join our team! As our new Head Lifeguard you will:

　　Work 25-30 hours in hands on, member facing roles including Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, or Coach

　　Administrative work for no more than 15 hours a week

　　Assist with schedule and supporting lifeguard team of 20-25

　　Help the Aquatics Coordinator with training

　　Serves as the manager on deck during programming or events

　　Maintain watch over the pool area ensuring a secure and safe environment

　　Employ accident prevention by enforcing pool rules and regulations

　　Respond to all injuries, incidents, and emergencies as directed by club policy

　　Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the aquatics center

　　Other duties as assigned

　　The Ideal Candidate will have:

　　Two to Three years of Lifeguarding experience

　　Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification (basic level)

　　Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 90 days of hire

　　Strongly Desired:

　　Previous experience in supervising staff

　　American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer

　　Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire

　　Physical Requirements:

　　Candidates applying for this position should be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted repeatedly throughout the workday

　　Frequent walking and demonstrating and assisting with exercise movements; bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting are movements performed daily

　　Ability to be in water for long periods during the day
