About This Role:
The College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invitesapplications for the Head of the Department of Anatomy and Physiology ina tenure track position at the rank of associate or full professor,commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. TheDepartment seeks an innovative leader with established excellence inteaching, research, and administration.
The Department Head of Anatomy and Physiology will lead approximately 27faculty members who are nationally and internationally recognized fortheir excellence in comparative biomedical science. The department iscommitted to continue as a leader in research and teaching in veterinaryanatomy, pharmacology, physiology, and pathophysiology. Departmentalfaculty members provide professional (DVM) and graduate (MS and PhD)instruction in animal welfare, gross and microscopic anatomy, cell andsystemic physiology, veterinary education, exercise physiology,immunophysiology, and pharmacology. The Department of Anatomy andPhysiology has exceptional facilities for research including specializedlaboratories for analytical testing, cellular and molecular biology,confocal microscopy, and image analysis.
