Duties: Design and implement metrology systems for optical characterization. Optimization of optical designs by using machine learning techniques. Develop test strategies for optical sensing systems. Coordinate with vendors to prototype lens designs. Lead hardware calibration efforts of optical systems in collaboration with cross-functional partners. Model optical transmission, coating performance, and stray light analysis of both individual components, optical assemblies, and full optical systems using a combination of sequential and non-sequential methods. Model, analyze, and develop tolerances for optical distortions in both static and dynamic systems.REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a PhD degree in Engineering, Optics, Physics, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field. Completion of a graduate-level course, research project, or internship. Related skills may be required.Wage Range: $172435 - $194000 year + bonus + equity + benefits.
