Description
This position is responsible for performing and direct observation ofmetal detector and X-ray checks conducted within the manufacturing offood products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering toTyson policies and procedures.
Tasks
Responsible for monitoring various areas of the processing facility toensure compliance with USDA and HACCP regulations. Must have clearunderstanding of HACCP and USDA regulations; must maintain variousrecords including both paper and electronic; must have excellentattendance; must be able to communicate with team members in variousroles and positions including management, hourly, and USDArepresentatives; other duties as assigned. Must be able to lift up to 70lb. tubs. Must be able to read, write and perform basic mathcalculations to perform and record tests metal detection and X-ray checkfindings. Must be able to climb steps to access all areas of the plant.Must be able to stand and walk for 100% of production hours. Must beable to work in a dusty environment and in temperatures of 50 degrees For less to include wet floor surfaces. Rate of work is fast paced andmust be neat with paperwork and keep work area clean. Other duties maybe assigned by supervisor. Applicants must be willing to wear all propersafety equipment and must be willing to work weekends when required. THETYLER ROAD SAFETY GOAL IS ZERO ACCIDENTS!
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: 1 year inHACCP/QA or equivalent training and/or experience preferred. ComputerSkills: Basic computer skills; data entry into Safety Chain program.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
