  This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit. To further BlueOrigin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space,we are building the sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew andcargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface.As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will join ourGuidance team within the Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GN&C)IPT. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the developmentof advanced guidance algorithms. You will be responsible for guidance analysesand trade studies, verifying subsystem requirements, applying Model BasedDevelopment practices to build GN&C flight software, and supporting thefull lifecycle of GN&C subsystem design through flight completion. You willwork directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the HumanLanding System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. Youwill play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that willreturn humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond thebounWe are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadershipskills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe humanspaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:Development and deliver guidance solutions for the next phase of LunarTransportation and Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD).Apply innovative techniques to guidance algorithm and FSW development toaccomplish sophisticated mission objectivesConduct early feasibility studies, development of subsystem architecture,definition of subsystem and component trade space, and concept of operationsSupport the derivation and development of subsystem requirementsConduct analyses and trades to validate requirementsCollaborate closely with external partners and other subsystems engineers tosupport the development of subsystem boundaries, interfaces, and performanceDevelop simulations and tools vital for analysis and verification of subsystemfunctionalitiesAuto-generate flight software code in a Model Based Development environmentSupport hardware-in-the-loop testing, system certification, and flightreadiness activities, and real-time flight support during missionsMentor and train junior engineers

  Minimum Qualifications:M.S. in Aerospace Engineering or related technical subject area4+ years proven experience in guidance algorithm development specificallyfor trajectory design, trajectory optimization, and onboard guidanceimplementationExperience developing RPO trajectories.Demonstrated experience with guidance law design for space vehiclesFamiliarity with development of requirements, interfaces, trades andanalyses for aerospace GN&C applicationsExpertise in Matlab/SimulinkRobust understanding of software development and data configurationmanagement...
