The opportunity
Under minimum supervision, works in one or more various work group functions or areas within the DC- inbound receiving, outbound shipping to customers, picking, packing, and sorter, inventory replenishments, inventory control and cycle counts, duties applicable to the DEA control cage, vault, and refrigerated storage areas. Time spent in any one area may vary based on the day-to-day business requirements. Trains other Material Handlers in SOPs, cGMPs, and processes as directed by supervisor. Provides leadership and coordination of work flow.
This is a 2nd shift position, Monday-Friday 2pm-1030pm. There is a shift differential associated with this shift.
How you’ll spend your day
•Performs various functions related to receiving, processing, shipping customer orders and managing inventory:
•Utilizes radio frequency (RF) system and operates fork-lift to unload trucks, receive shipments, and put-away inventory.
•Utilizes RF system and operates fork-lift to move inventory throughout the warehouse for the purpose of replenishment and managing inventory.
•Performs tote picks via tote management system (Pick-to-light module) - includes deployment of totes on PTL module, using PTL module to accurately pick orders from shelf to tote.
•Performs tote auditing & packing functions via warehouse management system (WMS), packing equipment and packing materials.
•Performs full carton picks via WMS generated picking labels - consists of ensuring properly matching pick labels to product, affixing labels to cartons and placing cartons on conveyor belt
•Performs duties related to sorter activity - consists of moving from lane to lane to clear cartons from sort lanes to pallet, affixing labels and packing slips, shrink wrapping pallets, etc.
•Utilizes RF system and operates fork-lift to load pallets on trucks for outbound (OB) shipments, as well as creating appropriate shipping documents via WMS system.
•Performs all of the above duties as they pertain to the refrigerated storage areas ( as applicable)
•Leads various work group areas to assist Distribution Supervisor/Manager in achieving a high level of productivity, promoting good business practices, and training peers on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs)
•Assists in implementing and incorporating stated 5S and OPEX initiatives as needed.
•Incorporate Trakwise system to generate incident reports and document process deviations.

Your experience and qualifications
Education Required : High School diploma or GED
Experience Preferred : 3 Years in a Distribution environment
Previous warehouse, logistics, distribution, forklift training experience preferred.
Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed: Experience with RF technology and WMS system preferred. Must be certified on Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) to include rider jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, and turret stock pickers.
Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand up to 8.0 hrs. Frequently required to walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, bend, and or crouch. Frequently lift 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 60 lbs. (Requirement based on heaviest repack configuration for refrigerated repack cartons). Frequently exert up to 60 lbs. of force to push/pull objects or equipment within the distribution center. Specific vision abilities required are a minimum of 20/40 close vision, 20I40 distance vision, peripheral vision of at least 120 degrees combined, normal depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must wear his/her corrective lenses, if needed to meet the requirement. Must be able to hear audible alarms and communications. Must be able to work at various heights up to 35
