POSITION SUMMARY The Grounds Associate performs diversified maintenanceand improvements on Kripalu\'s grounds, roadways, parking lots, gardens,nature trails, and lakefront property. This role acts as a member of thefacilities team to ensure all Maintenance requests and repairs are donein a safe, timely, and professional manner. Candidates must be availableto work on call on a rotating basis and respond to campus and systememergencies on off hours. ACCOUNTABILITIES - Perform all aspects ofgrounds and landscape maintenance including but not limited to snowremoval, lawn mowing, upkeep of gardens, shrubbery, trees, hedges, andwildlife management. - Maintain gardens, trimming, weeding, edging,pruning, Etc. - Ensures safety when operating grounds keeping equipmentsuch as mowers, tractors, handheld trimmers and saws, in accordance withprescribed job requirements & safety guidelines. - Perform mechanicalrepairs on Kripalu vehicles and equipment. - Perform preventativemaintenance on Kripalu vehicles, including but not limited to oilchanges, and lubrication. - Works across the organization when needed,to ensure best possible service to our guests. - Other duties asassigned. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Basic mechanical abilityfor operation and ongoing maintenance of landscaping tools andequipment. - Knowledge and experience in gardening and plantidentification. - Valid Driver\'s License and clean driving record. -Must be able to work independently as well as a member of a team. -Prior snow plowing experience preferred. MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS - Highschool diploma or the equivalent. - 1-2 years of related experience inlandscaping or grounds maintenance.
