Position: Grinder/ Polisher

　　Reports to: Department Supervisor

　　Position Summary : Responsible for grinding, sanding, and polishing seat frames. Uses cloth, hand tools and power tools to ensure a smooth surface. Inspect for flaws or cracks.

　　Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Safely operate hand-held power tools for grinding and polishing.

　　Ability to use electric grinders and pneumatic grinders.

　　Clean product by grinding/deburring away unwanted material.

　　Ability to finish and/or polish weld-seams for cosmetic appearance.

　　Inspects finished molds for smoothness, contour, conformity, and defects.

　　Separate product by part number.

　　Keep work areas clean and organized.

　　Take proper care of all equipment.

　　Meet daily production goals.

　　Abides OSHA and FSC rules and regulations for safety.

　　Wear typical protection gear in an environment that contain dust, odors and noise.

　　Work well under pressure.

　　Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

　　Physical Demands

　　Required to stand for long periods of time and walk frequently.

　　Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects of 50 pounds or more.

　　Must be able to cover other shifts/overtime as necessary.

　　Must be able to bend and squat frequently.

　　Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more daily.

　　Required Knowledge and/or Experience

　　High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

　　Minimum of six months of experience and/or training; Or combination of education and experience.

　　Ability to read English.

　　Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
