The Graphic Artist designs graphics, motion graphics and 3D animations for station promotion, daily local news programs, sales projects and station events. As well as print and digital assets. Must be organized and effective in a fast-paced work environment. The Graphic Artist works closely with the Creative Services Director, Promotion and Production staff to visualize and execute concepts for projects. This position interacts with news and sales staff to successfully create stunning designs and facilitate the storytelling process. This will be a full-time, union (IBEW) position.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Art, Motion Design, or equivalent experience.Experience:
Three years of related experience.
Broadcast experience is strongly desired.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess an impressive portfolio and be highly creative with cutting-edge graphics for broadcast, print and digital platforms. An online link to recent work samples is required.
Maintain and advance the graphic look of the station, while creating, managing and organizing all graphic needs and related files for multiple projects.
Crafting comprehensive graphics packages, encompassing logos, in-studio graphics, and design templates for shows, segments, and multimedia specials.
Attention to detail on assignments with a strong ability to layer and composite.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Cinema 4D, Blender or similar. Ross Xpression and ENPS Newsroom Solutions experience preferred.
Resourceful in selecting and creating appropriate graphics, animations, and audio styles for diverse projects.
Basic color correction, digital file formats, knowledge of codecs, and aspect ratios.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while being flexible with changing situations. W illingness to occasionally work extra hours and shifts.
Collaborate with the team and advance teammates' skills with new training when appropriate.
Must be open to training while taking direction in style and technique with constructive feedback.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation - $37-$39/hr commensurate with experience and skill level
