Position Overview:
Provides functional expertise, oversight, and direction for a team of grant and contract analysts conducting financial and compliance administration of grants and contract awarded to the research institute. By translating external regulatory interpretation into training and procedure, builds the capacity of Sutter Health to administer grants and contracts efficiently and effectively. Manages and administers pre-award and/or post-award grants for Federal and private foundations for basic sciences and clinical research. Provides management of research project grants (R01), cooperative agreements, center grants, program project grants and other award mechanisms that are of moderate to high complexity. Management will include an entire portfolio of an investigator or laboratory. Management includes financial reporting and projections, assistance with progress reports, an understanding of all the reporting requirements and the notice of grant award, as well as an understanding of policies, guidelines, and regulations pertaining to effective grants management.

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor'sTYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years recent relevant experience.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :
Advanced analytical skills and generalized knowledge of policies and procedures in more than one functional area or substantive knowledge in a specialized field.
Knowledge of federal government circulars Office of Management and Budget (OMB A-110, A-122 and A-133) state and local regulations and standard contract clauses
Skills in communication (both written and oral) in the English language, have ability to articulate needs and questions clearly, and have organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
Must be detail-oriented, work quickly and accurately, and be able to multi-task
Ability to work with competing deadlines and numerous personalities with diplomacy and tact
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment according to the goals of the unit
Demonstrated skills in spreadsheet, word processing, and accounting applications (MS Office, Word, Excel)
Demonstrated ability with financial forecasting
Knowledge of grants management practices
Proficient knowledge of accounting practices
Must possess follow-up and follow-through and investigative skills
Ability to participate effectively as a member of a clinical research team.

Pay Range is $47.28 to $70.92 / hour. Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas Pay Range is $42.52 to $63.83 / hour. California Pay Range is $47.28 to $70.92 / hour. Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah Pay Range is $37.83 to $56.74 / hour.
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
