Job Responsibilities

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to work in our Construction Engineering team while based at our office in King of Prussia, PA office.

Job Responsibilities:

Working in the field at building construction sites as a Quality Assurance representative; this involves observing, documenting and reporting on the construction work and performing construction materials testing.   Inspecting construction and materials compliance with the drawings and specifications.   Materials include reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, spray applied proofing, soils, earth work, and foundations.   Field testing of plastic concrete, grout, mortar, block, fireproofing, soils. non-destructive testing of welds, and high strength bolting installation.   Communicate and coordinate with the engineers, contractors, and clients.   Work construction hours (which may include overtime).   Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.   

Qualifications: 

BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study.   Recent or upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply.   Reliable transportation   FE / EIT in NJ is a plus.   NJ DCA Special Inspector certification (e.g.: Structural Steel, Masonry, Concrete, etc.) is a plus.   Experience working on construction projects is a plus!   Ability to read drawings and specifications, write reports, create sketches, and communicate technical details.   Good written and verbal communication skills.   Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
