Responsible for supporting all sales related activity for the government channel at Tennant. Tasks include daily support activities and assisting in the execution of regional and national channel strategies and company objectives. Must have strong attention to detail, business acumen and ability to prioritize conflicting projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the completion and submission of government quotes and bids. Mine and review opportunities for the federal and state/local government within bid aggregation services. Assist government distribution partners at the direction of government channel manager. Support government contract team in day-to-day operations and renewal date tracking. Create regional and national government sales reports, on a cyclical and ad-hoc basis, with aid of Finance. Partner with a variety of internal teams to ensure we are meeting/exceeding customer expectations relative to quality of products and services, order accuracy, on-time delivery, and issue resolution. Monitor Government Sales pipeline within CRM database; track opportunities and close rates. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Government selling or buying experience strongly preferred. Basic knowledge of state and federal contracts preferred. Minimum five years of business experience. Demonstrated experience working directly with large and complex customers, by phone and/or in person Track record of successful job performance REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Takes initiative and ownership to identify and achieve goals and objectives Sets appropriate timelines and follows projects and tasks through to completion Examines issues from multiple perspectives to develop effective and sustainable solutions Effectively integrates and manages the interface between groups Exceptional organization and prioritization skills Results oriented Functional PC and PC application skills - SAP experience preferred.
