Blue Moon is a large, flexible, reusable commercial lander for cargo or crew.Our Lunar Transportation team is developing our lunar landers to demonstrate core capabilities - including the BE-7 landing engine, precision landing sensors, and advanced integrated power and propulsion architecture. The team building this vehicle is rethinking how space systems are designed, with a high-performing architecture, efficient reusability, and rapid design iteration. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities include but not limited to:Design, manufacture and build test fixtures to support component environmental testing.Develop, plan and execute component and subsystem tests, including development, leak, shock, vibe, thermal, proof, and EMC.Assist in evaluating hardware and system performance data from qualification and acceptance testing.Assist in troubleshooting qualification and acceptance test anomalies, provide dispositions for hardware non-conformances with supporting rationale, perform system and component risk assessments and define risk burndown in support of vehicle testing and ultimately flight.Identify opportunities for safety improvements and cost savingsDemonstrate high standards in test operations and work cooperatively with a diverse team of Integration Engineers, Responsible Engineers and BLUE customers to ensure requirements are metLead daily test operations, operate test consoles, direct technician work and coordinate with internal customers.Minimum Qualifications:Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similarFamiliarity with spacecraft GNC components including: optical sensors, LIDAR, hazard detection, or other sensorsHands on experience (test set up, instrumentation, execution, tear down)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Linux, python or C++Experience with environmental testing of spacecraft componentsCompensation range for on site WA applicants is$75,510---$105,714 USDInclusivity StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
