About GMA Certification Manager

  This role is HYBRID, requiring candidates to be local to our Northbrook, IL office.

  Lead development and implementation of GMA services delivered by the certification office based on business growth priorities.

  Responsible for scheme operational strategy and development activities.

  Responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with external scheme owners and authorities and collaborate with other departments at UL Solutions to influence the development of the scheme

  Work with GMA and business leads to understand market needs and develop implementation and expansion strategies.

  Facilitate go-to-market launch preparation and communication with business development, sales and marketing leads.

  Lead process implementation to ensure operational readiness to deliver services by engineering, certification office and GMA project handlers.

  Monitor and maintain GMA service portfolio and compliance options to keep them updated with regulatory changes and competitive value propositions.

  Manage strategic KPIs and delivery KPIs for the schemes delivered

  Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.

  Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.

  Performs other duties as directed.

  University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelors degree) plus generally 10+ years experience.

  Prior experience in working in a similar position.

  Experience and ability to drive development of customer-valued GMA service path solutions is required.

  Experience and a proven track record of leading global projects involving multiple geographic regions and cross-functional team members strongly preferred.

  Experience demonstrating success in working with customers and creating creative and successful results.

  Project management and similar execution experience to implement strategy and tactics to completion.
