As the Global Health Chair for Edelman, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing our Health client portfolio across the global. You will be responsible for driving client relationships, managing campaigns, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch advisory and integrated solutions services to clients within the Health industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the Health global landscape, strong leadership skills, and a passion for strategic communication.
Key Responsibilities: Client Management: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their specific Health needs and providing strategic counsel.Foster long-term relationships with clients, proactively identifying potential opportunities tailored to their organizations.Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the Health sector across the globe.Understand clients' business goals, challenges, and market trends to provide strategic counsel.Act as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure their needs are met effectively.
Strategy: Serve as the primary leader and visionary for Health sector, setting strategic goals, and driving the overall direction of the group.Develop innovative Health strategies, frameworks, and IP that are leading industry best practices, considering the unique needs and challenges of different markets across the globe.Collaborate with regional health leadership to integrate Health initiatives into the company's broader business strategies.Develop, gain buy-in, and execute comprehensive integrated strategies tailored to the Health industry.Identify and leverage emerging industry trends to create innovative campaigns that align with clients' business objectives.
Team Management and Development: Provide daily strategic counsel, guidance, and leadership to Health team members Communicate a compelling and inspiring vision of future possibilities and direction to team; create a climate that encourages entrepreneurial behavior, learning, and collaborationDrive capability growth and business growth strategies Partner with Health team members across the globe to better fuel the overarching growth of the firm Ensure constant professional development of team, consistently holding self and team accountable for behavior and performance Establish sense of Health community and ongoing knowledge sharingProactively offer Health expertise and strategic counsel to Edelman teams and be requested in equal measureDemonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman's values
Business Development and Thought Leadership: Actively contribute to business development efforts, collaborating with the regions to identify and pursue new Health opportunities.Enhance the company's reputation as a thought leader in Health through speaking engagements, industry conference participation, and publication of articles or whitepapers.Stay updated on industry trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics in the Health sector.Use market insights to guide strategy and campaign development.Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for clients.
Basic Qualifications: At least 15 years of extensive experience in Health communications.Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Preferred Qualifications: Proven track record of successfully managing high-profile multinational corporations or prominent organizations.Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.Deep knowledge of Health communication tools, social media platforms, and digital communication strategies.Demonstrated experience in business development, including client acquisition and relationship management.Recognized industry expert with a strong network and involvement in professional organizations.
