  Role Purpose

  An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Global Commodity Manager with a strategic and analytical mind-set, to lead a Composites product portfolio in Europe, based at our facility in Papendrecht. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies, developing supplier relationships, ensuring the cost-effective procurement of commodities and risk management. This is a role that would suit a dynamic, innovative, and forward thinking procurement professional, who can work well with others to deliver business results and improvements.

  Job Responsibilities

  Spearhead the development and implementation of commodity strategies and oversee execution accordingly

  Manage supplier relationships to ensure high quality and cost-effectiveness

  Negotiate global contracts and oversee the global contract management

  Cost optimisation

  Implement risk management procedures to mitigate procurement related risks

  Enhance sustainability practices and compliance within the procurement process

  Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly

  Collaborate with other departments to align procurement strategies with the company's objectives

  Essential

  Minimum of 8 years Commodity Management / Commodity experience with 3-5 years in Aerospace industry preferred.

  Ability to interact with people of different levels inside/ outside the company and to operate within a team to reach team goals and business objectives.

  Ability to empower others to achieve results through motivation, recognition and performance feedback.

  Ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels of people & to lead and close out negotiations.

  Ability to recognize, respond to customer expectations with sense of urgency

  Ability to take full responsibility for decisions & results even when all elements are not under individual direct control.

  Ability to set goals consistent with company objectives and to adapt plans to changing environment.

  Experience in implementing industry leading best practices.

  Proven ability in strategy deployment

  The successful candidate will be able to work well in a fast-paced and collaborative team that is responsive and results-oriented. You will have a demonstrated track record of success in a manufacturing environment, and able to influence stakeholders and develop great working relationships. You will excel in understanding business needs and working in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders. You will have strong analytical skills; as well as being forward thinking with a global view of the business and our customer needs. A good understanding of the Aerospace industry would be desirable.
